U.S. Carbon Dioxide Emissions Fall to the Lowest Level Since 1994

The United States carbon dioxide emissions have reached their lowest levels since 1994, according to a new report. In the last five years, carbon dioxide emissions fell by 13% as a result of new energy-saving technologies and a doubling in renewable energy which means that the United States is more than halfway toward reaching President Obama’s goal of cutting emissions by 17% below 2005 levels by 2020 (1).
